Purpose:

The mission for this role is to follow established best engineering practices, while working with team to deliver business value driven features with high quality, and to continuously improve as a team and individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy web applications and features using the MERN/MEAN stack.
  • Build and maintain scalable e-commerce APIs 
  • Assist in the design and implementation of software solutions, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards, best practices, and associated documentation
  • Identify areas of improvement within the team, or systems
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Debug and resolve software defects and issues as part of ongoing maintenance and support.

  • Contribute to team reducing the average number of ticket cycle time IN PROGRESS to be RESOLVED

  • Contribute to team reducing the amount of interruptions 
  • Work with team to deliver at least 90% story completion in a sprint 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, CIS, or MIS
  • 0-3 years of experience are required, including internships and co-ops
  • Strong foundation in web development and familiarity with the MERN/MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js).
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Knowledge of event driven concepts and tools, such as Kafka.
  • Basic understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
