Function Overview

This position will conceive, define, test, deliver, monitor, and refine digital products in the market to maximize business impact. Conduct customer research, and work with key stakeholders across business and technology to develop and convey product vision. Individuals will also work with product teams and external System Integrators to deliver and sustain the end-to-end customer experience.

Summary

GAF is seeking a Solution Architect to provide governance, guidance, architecture, and design across SAP Financials (e.g. GL, CO, AP, AR, FA, PS), SAP Analytics Cloud

(SAC) Planning and other systems as part of the finance ecosystem.

The Solution Architect will plan, design, configure and support the ongoing implementation of SAP and provide sustainable IT and business system solutions to support current and future operations. This role will work with SAP S4HANA finance modules, SAC planning and other financial systems as part of the ecosystem, and collaborate with Business & IT teams to optimize processes and systems to drive business and technical improvements, system automation, continuous improvement, and other duties associated with GAF systems. In addition, the Solution Architect will work closely with IT project managers, System Integration partner and business stakeholders to implement architecture design, and partner with GAF operations in creating business value through new product introductions and process improvements while maintaining alignment with GAF architectural frameworks.

Essential Duties:

• Providing Solution Architect oversight, technical leadership and and delivery SAP Finance and SAC Planning solution on large complex project(s)
• Establishing or modifying strategy, standards and procedures for SAP Finance integration, configuration, and implementation
• Assisting in the development of SAP technical roadmaps while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies
• Responsible for the overall systems architecture, technical and functional design for SAP Finance, SAC Planning and other systems that are part of the finance ecosystem to design and deploy integrated end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions (S4 HANA Finance, SAC Planning) that align with business objectives.
• Maintain detailed documentation of SAP finance solution designs, configurations, and changes
• Analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions.
• Develop and improve the design of SAP Finance and SAC Planning architectural framework, including primary application and related applications and systems
• Understand integration between SAP Finance and other enterprise systems to articulate and offer sustainable and scalable architectural solutions
• Understand business process improvement in enterprise applications.
• Understand and transform business requirements into scalable/manageable solution architecture and design specifications.
• Develop POC’s to evaluate new technologies and solutions.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting scalability issues
• Participate in the delivery of custom solutions that follow GAFs standard Agile process.
• Ensure the development team adheres to GAF design and development patterns and standards.
• Maintain and enhance integration solutions, including off-hours support of business-critical business solutions.
• Ensure proper response and resolution to issues and errors.
• Provide mentoring on advanced development concepts and technical capabilities to developers.

Under This Roof, We Require

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience.
• 7+ years experience in design, implementation, configuration and support of SAP Finance (incl. Core finance modules, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Product Costing, Fixed Assets, Project Costing, Treasury , Inter-company and Cash Management) process and SAC Planning

• Experience with ERP implementation and transformation projects, Peoplesoft to SAP or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) based design & development and ABAP Programming Model
• Design and developing integrated business solutions that interact between multiple enterprise platforms and applications, both on-premises, CSP’s and SaaS providers.
• General knowledge of Agile and SDLC software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.)

• Strong ability to define multiple solution options to business problems
