Fortrea is seeking a Senior Finance Specialist , who will report to the Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Development. In this role, the professional will be responsible for the support and execution of investor relations strategies, maintaining IR calendars; planning, coordinating, and working on financial models on an ongoing basis and earnings materials (earnings presentation, Q&A documents) on a quarterly and annual basis; triaging incoming investor/analyst requests, maintaining internal Fortrea models, tracking the sell-side models on Fortrea and peers. 

The Senior Finance Specialist will work closely with the Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Development to develop materials for Fortrea’s stakeholders and internal deliverables while interacting with internal stakeholders, finance, legal and operations teams.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the facilitation of the quarterly earnings process, analyzing sell-side models, maintaining competitive business intelligence.
  • Managing logistics for earnings calls and other webcasted investor events to ensure smooth operations and communication.
  • Preparing materials for all earnings calls, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and other investor-related events.
  • Drafting and assisting in the preparation of quarterly earnings materials such as call scripts, Q&A documents, and presentations to effectively convey financial performance and strategy.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive set of competitive analysis, including peer company benchmarks and assessment of sell-side models.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders – including finance, strategy, communications and business leaders to develop a coherent financial narrative and ensuring that forecasts align with projected financial results.
  • Monitoring industry trends, addressing shareholders' concerns, conducting targeting analysis to identify new investor opportunities and analyst targets.
  • Managing the investor contact database to keep investor information current.
  • Overseeing the Investor Relations website and content to streamline user-experience and disseminate critical investor communications aligned with key filing dates
  • Summarizing key events and sell-side analysts' notes within the peer and industry space.
  • This role will also support in evaluating potential assets, manage the deal pipeline throughout the due diligence processes.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in Business and/or Finance & Accounting
  • Strong proficiency in understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements is required.
  • Expertise in excel and power point skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong analytic and strategic abilities to assess complex situations, make recommendations and manage projects and processes through completion with autonomy.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint for investor presentations, Excel for financial modeling and Teams for effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and be flexible in responding to changing organizational demands to support a fast-paced, high-growth business
  • Professional maturity with ability to interact effectively with the executive leadership

Experience (Minimum Required): 

  • Previous strong experience in finance or analytical experience, with strong preference to experience in Fortrea or in the CRO industry

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with finance or accounting specialization preferred
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex financial and investment information and to translate complex science into mainstream language and understanding. Strong ability to storytell with data.
  • Ability to build best in class presentations that are visually appealing and easy to digest.
  • Motivated, proactive individual with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Ability to work via computer for multiple hours to complete role
  • Ability to interface both on video and on the phone with colleagues regularly
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% as necessary for the role
