SOFTWARE DEVELOPER III-ENT - (T212323)
FOR USE BY IT AND HSIS ONLY: The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a SOFTWARE DEVELOPER III-ENT to participate as high level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software for their party customers. To work with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them. To resolve customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements from third party customers. To participate in the development of software user manuals. To act as team leader on less complex projects. To assist in training less experienced software development staff. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
Responsibilities:
(Annual Salary: $89,880 - $146,055)
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred Skills: Proficiency in building full-stack applications on Node.js, ReactJS, Redux using SQL/NoSQL on Azure Cloud. Strong experience in HTML5, CSS, JSON and Standard Web Design tools. Passion for and knowledge of design systems, design system frameworks, UI design, and development/accessibility tools. Knowledge about API design standards, patterns, and best-practices especially Swagger, OpenAPI, REST/GraphQL and JSON. Good understanding of the modern data stack. Significant hands-on experience integrating third-party SaaS APIs is highly desirable. Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols like OAuth 2, SAML and LDAP. Experience with devOps, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
