General Description

The Business Advisory Services group advises our clients on a wide variety of business related areas. An intern in Business Advisory Services will be a key team member on various projects in 1 or more of the following areas:

  • Bankruptcy Consulting
  • Business and IT Strategy
  • Compliance Agreed Upon Procedures
  • Enterprise Risk
  • Forensic Accounting
  • Information Technology Audits
  • Internal Audits
  • Litigation Support
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Process Improvement
  • Sarbanes Oxley Compliance
  • Systems and Organization Controls (SOC) Engagements
  • Valuation Analyses
  • Other Financial, Economic and Risk related Engagements

Preferred Experience/Background/Skills

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology or related degree
  • Plans to pursue credentials in area of expertise (e.g. CFA, CPA, CFE, CIA, CISA, LSSBB, and/or ASA designation)
  • Possess strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical and research abilities
  • Basic knowledge of business processes, data analysis, and internal controls
  • Strong technical skills in the areas of Accounting, Finance, and/or Information Technology
  • Have the ability to effectively use technology (Access, Alteryx, IDEA, and/or ACL programs a plus)
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Excellent leadership potential
  • Have the ability to meet challenging client requirements
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics
