Stantec is looking for Electrical Engineer to be based in the Pune, India office who can contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec Resource Net India Private Ltd by providing design expertise in specialist areas of electrical systems related to Industrial (Power, Oil and Gas, Mining and Manufacturing) Water Sector. To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading-edge programs and projects.

Support project managers/team leader by providing technical and drafting expertise to ensure that project outcomes in terms of profit, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and Stantec expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Day to day tasks include concept design to detail design development, tender development and or construction level of Electrical design and assistance for the Project and multi–Discipline Engineers. Coordination with regional leads.
  • Experience in heavy (Power industry/ Oil and Gas/Mining and Manufacturing) industrial and utility capital projects.
  • The engineer will be responsible for development of electrical design as per the client needs and requirements.
  • As an Electrical engineer, it should be expected that the engineer will be responsible for development of electrical calculations using different design tools and software, electrical equipment sizing’s and various electrical layouts etc.
  • Experience in Power system modeling and analysis such as short circuit analysis, Arc Flash studies, electrical power system grounding studies etc. using ETAP software.
  • Prepare design deliverables and schedule, technical specifications, design basis report, scope of work and BOQ documents.
  • As an Electrical engineer, it should be expected that the duties will be flexible, providing design assistance for multiple projects.
  • Work as a team member to coordinate design projects with professional engineers and other CAD/BIM technicians.
  • Understanding of the Vendor submittal drawings and documents and its review.
  • Experience in the development of electrical services proposals and engineering estimates
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management.
  • Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally
  • Need to travel offshore for training / on-site work: Occasionally

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering

  • 6 to 10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of International standards like NEC, CEC, IEEE, NEMA, IEC, BS, AS/NZS etc.
  • Hands on experience of REVIT MEP, BIM360 and NAVISWORKS will be an added advantage.
  • Have excellent data manipulation abilities (MS Excel/MS Access database type packages)
  • Competent level of baseline skills, i.e., professional, and confident with the essential, good business and communication skills that are required for career growth in all positions
  • Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows and commitment to personal professional development
