The Sterile Processing Department is now hiring for a PRN/On-Call Sterile Processing Technician at our Nampa Medical Center, off of I-84 and Garrity Road!

About The Position:

  • The Certified Sterile Processing Technician performs decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization and storage of re-usable surgical instrumentation. 
  • The Certified SP Tech prepares surgical case carts and responds to requests for instrumentation and /or supplies for surgical procedures. 
  • The Certified SP Tech ensures all Quality Assurance documentation is completed pursuant to the standards of sterilization, The Joint Commission, and SARMC requirements.

Orientation and Training:

General Orientation is virtual and in-person your first week. You will be assigned a preceptor (trainer) who will train you in the different areas of Sterile Processing (decontamination, instrument reassembly, and sterilization). Training for the PRN role would ideally be 2 days per week is typically on day shift, Mondays - Fridays and will take approximately 1 month or more to complete.

Work Schedule: This position is PRN/On-Call, but ideally would work one shift per week, 8am – 6:00pm to fill in for vacations and sick call.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Maintains CRCST or CSPDT certification.
  • 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Tech
