We now offer an Internship for a technical position as Hardware Design Engineer for NXP’s Board Solutions in Guadalajara, Mexico, r responsible for all aspect of hardware board design from the concept and design to manufacture, testability, safety and quality of the hardware products.

This Internship is open to choose between various Drones or PMIC programs to handle around 30 different board or kits builds in a timeframe of 12 months. The benefits of this program are but not limited to:

  • Being assigned with a mentor during the program.
  • Exposure to work in multi disciplinary and global teams
  • Learning in the Cadence tools including Allegro and OrCAD
  • Participation on NXP relevant projects providing HW Solutions to key Business Lines

Your responsibilities:

  • Define architecture to implement design per Technical Requirements Document (TRD)
  • Follow standards for schematics, logic symbols, design for test, design for manufacturing, and certifications
  • Create preliminary parts list (PPL), schematics, layout requirements, and BOM; Submit, archive and release these items through Agile meeting quality and schedule requirements
  • Work with Marketing, Applications, CAD, Product Engineer, Test Engineer, and Manufacturing Program Manager to create a quality manufacturable product
  • Work with cross functional teams
  • May require you to perform test software coding or code development to drive test equipment, product firmware interface, test result data-log and fixture software control.
  • Participate in peer reviews of test engineering to improve hardware development process across the Board Solutions Group

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Studying Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics or similar.
  • Understand system level design including mechanical, thermal, PCBA, cabling, PSU, firmware, etc.
  • Good technical and analytical skill with ability to perform electronic system debug effectively
  • Quality first mindset
