About The Job

Varian Product Finance team is looking for a data analytics-oriented finance professional to join our team. Business Analyst will collaborate with key members of Radiation Treatment Solutions (RTS) R&D and Marketing teams to develop reporting dashboards and drive data analytics and data visualization to enable business decision making. The position will involve delivering important insights to senior leaders and executive management. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in financial and general business analysis and demonstrated experience collaborating across functions. This role requires a self-starter with excellent modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This position will report directly to Team Lead, RTS Product Group Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications. Create, design, and maintain dashboards and reports in PowerBI to support Finance team's operational needs.
  • Ensure all reporting that is issued is of a high accuracy and is delivered timely to bring maximum benefit to the business users
  • Understand the system interfaces, workflows and basic architecture of multiple data sources
  • Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Collaborate with finance teams, business analysts, and other departments to understand data needs and provide insights
  • Act as a digitalization champion in the Finance organization, promoting data-driven decision-making
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for PowerBI. Provide training and support to other users in Finance
  • Ad hoc analysis: Run data-driven ad hoc analysis to help uncover growth opportunities, pricing analysis, cost efficiencies, or ways to further mitigate risks

You will be successful in this role if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and 3+ years financial work experience, preferably in reporting, accounting, or planning and /or equivalent experience
  • Strong ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present qualitative and quantitative data
  • Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills (possibly DAX)
  • Passion for the field of data-driven marketing and ability to absorb concepts quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong business acumen to effectively interact and influence senior stakeholders. Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Analytical and problem-solving orientation and are very comfortable with numbers and constructing models to analyze data
  • Structural thinking and analysis approach
  • Strong motivation to grow and develop your skills every day
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, advanced English knowledge (verbal and written)
