Introduction

Business Consultant role offers an opportunity to work within international team of Consultants preparing NetReveal to derive intelligence from high volume customer data. NetReveal, our flagship product is constantly gaining market dominance in the detection and prevention of financial crime and fraud. It has also been shown to be applicable in credit risk as well as counter-terrorism, anti-money laundering and other investigative functions.

Inside the team you will be linkage between Client and Product / Technical consultants, using your experience to derive requirements on route to fine-tuned solution delivery.

Job Description

What you will be doing

  • Build viable business cases, capture and document client requirements 
  • Demonstrate software and present detected fraud cases to clients
  • Participate in the preparation for and delivery of workshops with clients' fraud, risk and compliance teams, investigators and data teams
  • Develop fraud models and watch list verification methods
  • Deploy enterprise solutions within clients
  • Adhere to and enhance software development approaches and methodologies
  • Deliver high quality work to meet client expectations and project deadlines
  • Go beyond routine questioning to find the underlying causes of problems or discrepancies to identify problems and develop sound solutions
  • Use your organizational and planning skills to maintain performance and manage your time effectively
  • Transfer know-how to end clients' fraud analysts, investigators and technical staff

Essential skills

  • Excellence in spoken and written English
  • Understanding of SQL and experience of databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
  • Around 2 years of experience in a business or technical role working within business or technology consulting
  • An enthusiasm for working with clients across EMEA region, potentially including temporary placements abroad
  • Academic background with a BSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Banking or another discipline related to the financial markets
  • Confident presenting complex ideas to non-technical and technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and team - working spirit
  • A flair for acquiring new technical skills or understanding customer's business
  • An open minded approach to solving client problems and a commitment to high quality deliverables.

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of financial markets: payment types, origination and settlement, card transactions, customer scoring
  • Experience of the full software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the software project tools, principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of the technical standards on financial markets - financial messages: SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022
  • Knowledge of participants of financial markets and its role: credit institution, clearing house, card acceptant, transfer agent, etc.
  • Fluency in Spanish or French will be additional advantage
