We are looking for a Global Head of Portfolio Solutions, based in London or Munich

The Impact You Will Have 

Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, Allianz Commercial, you will join the team as our Global Head of Portfolio Solutions. This role is directly in charge of the global strategy for Portfolio Solutions business, including but not limited to delegated authority business and our exposure to the Wholesale market. We are looking for someone to optimize our strategy and market presence in this space, leveraging top line growth whilst maintaining sustainable operating profit. Portfolio performance in this area is key to the growth and success of AGCS and Allianz Commercial. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Developing and implementing a robust portfolio performance steering frameworks across all lines (except ART) to ensure effective risk management
• Reporting and presenting business strategy to internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress against agreed financial targets
• Creating a comprehensive strategy for driving portfolio solutions across Allianz Commercial, focussing on performance monitoring tools and portfolio steering models
• Developing and monitoring vertical P&L/profitability views to ensure consistency in approaches and promptly flagging any changes or impediments using portfolio analytics
• Ensuring alignment with Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Fronting capabilities concerning gross line, net line, and wholly owned cell captive fronting, while maintaining high governance and adherence standards
• Driving alignment with Allianz X investment opportunities by creating portfolios for digital frontrunners strategically aligned to Allianz
• Collaborating with OE (Operating Entity) Chief Underwriting Officers (CUOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), and other business owners from respective lines to analyse profitability, drive performance, and support Underwriting actions

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Significant experience in delegated authority business, focused on performance steering and contract management
• Ability to work in a complex organization and demonstrate outstanding inter-cultural skills 
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and quality management skills, to steer projects in the right direction and manage a team effectively
• Expert in Underwriting and Policy Management, with an extensive knowledge in portfolio steering 
• Ability to build connections with other AOM functions
• Fluent English skills, any other languages advantageous
