We are looking for an Underwriting Process & Analytics Manager (m/f/d), based in Munich or London.

Your Team 

Reporting to the Global Head of Entertainment you will be part of an international market-leading team that is committed to deliver best in class Film, TV, Live Event & Sports Entertainment insurance products and services to (multi)-national entertainment & sports industry clients. We work closely with cross-functional teams, including Global Distribution, Multinational, Product Development, Legal & Compliance, and Underwriting Integrity to ensure high quality delivery, processes and outcomes. We are dedicated to overcoming challenges, including local regulatory developments and effective management within the global matrix, to ensure the success of our initiatives.

The Impact You Will Have 

The responsibility of the role is to support, develop and manage global UW LoB/sub-lob processes & analytics that are related to UW, Pricing, capacity, CAT & accumulation control, Ops and IT. Additionally, the role will participate in LoB cross-functional projects and interface to other departments and group functions and will support the global portfolio steering & pricing and global product leads in data quality improvement, portfolio steering & analysis, technical pricing (APTP) and reinsurance management. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include

  • Represent LoB / UW as BLO and in respect of global UW (IT) systems and processes 
  • Develop, define and coordinate global UW cross-functional processes (hand over process, pricing)
  • Support the qualitative analysis of the global LoB Portfolio in close cooperation with the portfolio steering & pricing and product leads and CFO functions
  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of global LoB reporting framework and develop and implement Global LoB portfolio steering tools
  • Support the maintenance and further development of LoB pricing tools in close cooperation with portfolio steering & pricing, product leads and Actuarial
  • Participate in the development and update of LoB specific processes and frameworks for accumulation control, capacity, and volatility management
  • Coordinate data collection and processing for Cyber, exposure management, ERC and P&L reporting (quarterly/monthly)
  • Develop and coordinate processes and analytics training to lob underwriters and contribute to Underwriting Academy
  • Develop, coordinate and implement a LoB strategy for both treaty and facultative Reinsurance in close coordination with CUO and RI department and coordinate RI reporting (annually)
  • Represent the LoB internally within AGCS and the AZ Group and externally to the industry, and other organisations

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Degree in Business Administration / Mathematics / Statistics / Finance and/or Actuarial background
  • Significant experience in Underwriting management and/or organization and/or processes management
  • Understanding of relevant technical and financial analysis of industrial underwriting cases or equivalent
  • Successful track record of working in international complex matrix environments
  • Ability to analyse highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.
  • Analyse current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance
  • Preferably experience in Project Management/IT
  • Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and clients, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties
  • Exposed to expressing ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, additional languages would be a plus
