AT A GLANCE

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our growing Data team! This role will be tightly integrated with the Data Science, Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams. They will coordinate, communicate and prioritize projects and initiatives. This is a highly visible role offering unique opportunities to interact with many teams throughout the organization, ideal for someone who wants to have a big impact in a fast-growing company.

What You'll Do

  • Coach horizontal Data Technology teams (including Data Engineering, Data Analytics and Data Science) toward high performance through agile concepts, engineering excellence and value-driven product mindset.
  • Manage large technology migrations and implementations working with teams across RVO and with our parent companies. 
  • Work with engineering teams and partners to understand the business requirements and work with the Data teams to translate these requirements into technical/functional specifications. 
  • Guide cross-functional tech teams to discover and adopt processes that support meeting aggressive delivery goals.
  • Assertively hold all parties accountable to strategic goals.
  • Work with our Data teams to coordinate the technical development effort, track/drive the project, and manage the operational implementation process. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management and make trade-offs; encourage smart risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit; identify interdependencies between concurrent projects to prevent downstream problems. 
  • Implement systems to enable the teams to be self-sufficient with things such as JIRA boards, dashboards, reports etc.
  • Work with managers, directors and team leads to prioritize work
  • Coordinate meetings and presentations with stakeholders and senior leadership to provide status updates on your teams’ projects.
  • Roadmap and prioritize with PMO and Data leadership to determine strategic priority of projects.
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies (daily touchpoints, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Remove impediments and manage dependencies across teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience leading large Data focused projects.
  • Possess a baseline understanding of engineering and high level data concepts.
  • Demonstrate maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, as well as be a development driver and thought leader.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a time sensitive environment.
  • Proactive problem solving skills and ability to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Exhibit excellent oral and communication skills, tailoring communication to different audiences.
  • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices and identify what truly matters.
  • Experience with agile teams, specifically scrum and kanban, as well as some agile coaching experience.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Strong project planning, project management and project delivery skills. 

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $75,000 - 103,000
  • Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
