The Mother Infant Research Institute at Tufts Medical Center is currently seeking a faculty researcher to be a member of the Special and Scientific Staff at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. This position will hold an academic appointment at the Tufts University School of Medicine.

Why Join Our Team:

The Mother Infant Research Institute (MIRI) at Tufts Medical Center is inviting applications for full-time faculty. Our faculty is comprised of both clinical (neonatology and obstetrics) and basic scientists who conduct fundamental mechanistic studies in animal models to randomized controlled clinical trials.

A candidate whose research complements the MIRI’s existing strengths in the areas of placental physiology, metabolism in pregnancy and neonatal impacts of opioid exposure would be of particular interest. The candidate’s research should have clear implications for improving maternal and/or infant health. Both clinician-investigators and basic scientists with funded research programs in the areas of pregnancy and children’s health are encouraged to apply.

  • The successful applicant will report to the Director of Research and contribute to the development of the educational, research, and service programs of MIRI.
  • Competitive lab start-up funding is available, and the faculty member will have access to outstanding departmental and institutional core facilities.
