Visiting Lecturer in Nursing, Clinical Assistant Professor in Nursing

Position Summary

The Indiana University East School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking applicants for a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor or Lecturer in Nursing position. This provides candidates an opportunity to teach in the BSN, RN to BSN mobility option, and MSN programs. Positions begin fall 2023. Candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to excel in teaching and provide ongoing support for student success, in and out of the classroom, interacting with a diverse student and faculty community. This position is for the academic year. H-1B visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor

  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Evidence of eligibility for licensure in Indiana.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practice as a registered nurse (RN).
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a professional and collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the value of diversity of faculty, staff, and students in an
  • academic setting.
  • Experience in nursing education.

Required Qualifications: Visiting Lecturer

  • Master’s degree in nursing.

Preferred Qualifications: Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor and Lecturer

  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) considered a plus
