Our Team: 

User Pulse Pod has successfully developed an in-app survey feature/tool that enables content authors, product managers, process owners, and operations teams to gather highly contextual feedback from end users. This valuable feedback helps inform decision-making processes and drives improvements in user experience. Additionally, our team excels in handling complex asynchronous tasks, generating a diverse range of file formats, including Videos, PDFs, SCORM, and ODT. By delivering content in multiple formats, we enhance accessibility and cater to users' diverse preferences, ensuring a professional and seamless experience

Your Opportunity: 

As part of the Workflow Engine Team @Whatfix, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference by being a part of the development team that builds future forward products. One of the key attributes of this job is that you are required to continuously innovate and apply technology to provide business 360 views of Whatfix customers.

Key Responsibility:

1. Provide technical leadership to the team of engineers and ensure the quality of deliverables.
2. Work closely with architects and ensure architectural consistency and technical excellence of the products and platforms
3. Work with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address all technical dependencies
4. Develop technical roadmaps and provide guidance on the selection of technologies and tools.
5. Mentor and coach team members to improve their technical and leadership skills.
6. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
7. Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the systems.
8. Actively participate in technical innovations, external presentations, technical publications etc.

Our Ideal Candidate:

You have a deep interest and passion for technology. You love writing and owning code and enjoy working with people who will keep challenging you at every stage. You have strong problem solving, analytic, decision-making and excellent communication with interpersonal skills. You are self-driven and motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities.

Your Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as full stack developer
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams of engineers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Must-Have: 

1. Strong Experience in Core Java, REST, Spring
2. Experience in Unit Testing and Automation
3. Experience in CI/CD, Jenkins
4. Experience with Storage systems - NoSQL (Cassandra/HBase/MongoDB)
5. Analyze Functional & Non-Functional requirements with effort estimation and deployment strategies
6. Hands-on in Architecting and developing applications from scratch
7. Hands-on debugging skills
8. Design for performance, scalability, fault tolerance and high availability
9. Solid problem-solving skills with understanding of data structure and algorithms 

Good to Have: 

1. Experience in Javascript & react
2. Browser Extension understanding 
3. Exposure to GWT/Swing/AWT
4. Exposure to Docker/K8S

Behavioral traits: 

1. Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
2. Can-do attitude to take BIG problems by their horns and solve them
3. Ability to inspire others & be a role model and mentor for upcoming engineers in the organization
