Responsibilities:

The R&D Project Management Intern will work with Tencent Games global team to conduct targeted research on latest technology/trend in the game industry, carry on specialized analysis on key findings, and provide recommendations for key R&D projects. The Project Management Intern will also assist the Project Manager on the assigned R&D project during all phases.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on the trend and technology in the game industry on behalf of the company’s need
  • Make report and slides for key findings and recommendations
  • Assist with the development of project objectives, schedule, and deliverables
  • Support in creation and distribution of project plans, requirement documents, status and progress reports, along with risks, contingency plans with lead project managers
  • Facilitate effective project execution by monitoring project status, keeping alignment between team members/partners/vendors, gathering team responses and needs, monitoring project scope and watching for potential roadblocks
  • Help develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Other duties, as assigned 

Requirements:

Skills/Requirements

  • Newly graduated Master or studying for Master’s in Video Game Design/Development, Business, Computer Science, Software Development, Management, IT Management or related major.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Strong research and analysis skills, including qualitative and quantitative data analysis
  • Detail and Results oriented
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
  • Team orientation, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint skill
  • Passionate about new technologies, including AI, Machine Learning, CG, etc.
  • Self-starter

Pluses

  • Experience working as an intern/full-time in consulting industry
  • Experience with Project management Software (Jira, MS project, Visio, etc.) and methodology (Agile, PMP, etc.)
  • Experience with video game development
  • Writing and speaking in Mandarin is not required, but a plus

The base pay range for this position in California is $27.12 to $35.19 per hour. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
