For our R&D Enabling Technologies department we are looking for a
Senior Manager R&D Enabling Technologies (m/f/x) R-193881
(Fulltime / permanent/ non-tariff)
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Support the Associate Director R&D Enabling Technology Laboratory Data in developing and implementing the overall R&D strategy and associated tools for R&D Instrument Lifecycle Management
- Lead design, implementation, validation, and maintenance of a global instrument governance & management framework
- Involvement in the establishment of an R&D instrument laboratory operations, monitoring and asset management strategy. May include the management of testing and authoring of appropriate documentation.
- Identify and implement solutions to global systems issues and concerns, lead change management activity and take care of optimal adoption
- Develop and provide metrics on system performance, cycle time and productivity metrics to support ongoing improvements in quality and processes.
- Partner with IT (I&T) and external vendors to establish development infrastructure and process to provide global solutions.
- Lead the analysis of R&D laboratory instrument utilisation and asset management
- Provide consultation as needed to scientific teams in the use of reporting and statistics tools therein.
- Establish strategies, plans, and documentation for training and consultation to R&D personnel on Instrument and Governance framework
- Establish and maintain partnerships with all R&D business functions, partner business functions like I&T (IT), Commercial and external vendors
- Lead cross functional teams supporting development of global systems and processes
- Develop networks with external parties (key experts, contract research organisations) as pertains to data solutions to support key R&D programs.
Experience in the following areas
- Experiences in the laboratory field is mandatory
- Experienced in laboratory operations, lab equipment monitoring and asset management
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on process mapping and Business URS development
- Comprehensive understanding of R&D processes from Research up to Regulatory Affairs - especially in the area of Product Development, including deep knowledge of respective regulations, data standards and Industry best practices
- Technical/coding expertise in structured data & lab informatic systems
- Excellent communication and training skills, including English language skills, ability to work independently and as a team member of a global team
Qualifications & Experience:
- University Degree in a relevant field of Science (IT, technical or life science discipline or similar education)
- 7+ years experience working in in R&D with profound knowledge systems specifically in the area of Laboratory Instrumentation and Scientific Workflows, Document Management (OpenText D2, SharePoint) and ELN as well as with LIMS systems
