Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Wroclaw office as part of our Pharma Operations Benchmarking (POBOS) team within McKinsey's Client Capabilities Network. 

This group offers a broad range of pharma benchmarking services that cover drug product and drug substance production, quality, supply chain and other areas of pharma operations. Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Network deliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation.

Our more than 2,500 client capabilities professionals across the globe work alongside our consultants to deliver change that matters to our clients. They support our consultant teams, both remotely and at client sites, in an agile and targeted way. Further, they are core to our firm’s R&D, developing new knowledge and building and refining proprietary capabilities (e.g., assets, data sets), as well as curating, managing, and maintaining them. Our portfolio includes state-of-the-art research, asset-backed and rapid diagnostics, benchmarking, and workflow support. Our professionals have deep expertise and are able to apply a broad range of methodologies for specialized on-demand analyses. 

What You'll Do

You will learn how to work with a state-of-the-art digital platform for benchmarking projects within the pharmaceutical industry. 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a team of analysts in their day to day client work, including data analysis and automation of back-end tools used in benchmarking projects. Throughout your work, you’ll collaborate and actively contribute to the workflow/activities within the team. You will also gain opportunities to develop an understanding of operational excellence and the pharmaceutical industry.

This internship program will enhance your professional and personal development through mentoring and coaching sessions with tenured colleagues. The program will last up to 12 months with a minimum of 25 work hours per week. You will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role depending on the success of your internship and open roles at the time.

Qualifications

  • University student in the fourth or final year of studies in economics, engineering, statistics, finance, logistics, pharmacy or biotechnology 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic knowledge of Python is a big plus
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative and energetic attitude
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to work in an international environment
  • Fluent in English
