Who You'll Work With
You will be based in our New York office for ~10 weeks as part of our McKinsey Summer Internship program. You will be part of the Digital Marketing Operations & Technology (DMOT) guild. You will work with teams who build and deliver large scale digital marketing transformations, integrated into client engagements focused on growth, marketing, and sales. The guild functions at the intersection of McKinsey’s Digital and Marketing & Sales practices.
The Marketing & Sales practice strives to help clients in both consumer and business-to-business environments on a wide variety of marketing and sales topics. Our clients benefit from our experience in core areas of marketing such as branding, customer insights, marketing ROI, digital marketing, CLM, pricing, and sales and channel management. Our practice offers an exceptional opportunity to work at the intersection of marketing, sales and consulting. What You'll Do
For 10 weeks over the summer, you will work within a team of product managers and solution architects who help our clients develop the vision and guide them through the implementation of MarTech and/or ad-tech products that help them attract and grow customers using digital marketing strategies and technology.
You will influence many of the recommendations our clients need to positively change their businesses and enhance performance. You will join client engagements with 3-5 consultants who will provide clients with direction on technology platforms and features that will deliver enhanced customer experiences. You will assist consulting teams in making decisions and documenting an ambitious and visionary product roadmap to deliver the most value/ROI and prioritize initiatives in areas such as retail media networks, personalization at scale, privacy-safe growth, direct to consumer activation, etc.
You will contribute to and support developing use cases, sizing them for business value, and prioritizing the activation roadmap based on value and feasibility. You will work in an Agile operating model to assist solution architects to define and document user stories. You will contribute to solutioning the underlying data and solution architecture for use cases. You will work with consulting teams who support Agile development by contributing to developing sprint plans, removing roadblocks, flagging problems and ensuring progress.
