Duties:
- Assist the servers by greeting guests and offering beverages when servers are assisting other guests
- Carrying dirty dishes from the dining room to stewarding area as needed, using a tray at all times without stacking glassware or dishes in order to limit breakage
- Resetting tables following our standard table settings by carrying clean glassware, silver, linens, etc. on a tray at all times
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of all table numbers, seat numbers, and sections of the servers
- Running food from the expo window to guests tables without announcing food following proper procedures
- Monitor and observe guest's experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the beverages and service. Anticipate and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Communicate effectively with front of house and back of house team members to ensure a highly executed dining experience.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge and ability to answer questions about our food, beverage, and overall restaurant and hotel offerings.
- Perform mise en place, opening and closing side work for daily service based on business levels expected.
- Always maintain a neat and clean work environment; ensure overall restaurant ambience is maintained throughout each shift
- Oversee our guests' experience following Ariccia's and IHP's standards of service.
- Responsible for monitoring, stocking, and maintaining the 6th floor Executive Pantry food and beverage offerings throughout the day
- Communicate requisition needs to shift leaders to ensure that IRD, 6th floor pantry, and expo areas remain fulfilled and stocked
- Input In-Room-Dining orders into the Point of Sale and ensure requests/dietary restrictions are input accordingly
- Responsible for preparing in-room dining trays and carts and delivering orders to hotel guests in timely manner, with great attention to detail.
- Upon delivering in-room dining orders to guests, ensure that all items meet guest expectations and check to see if further assistance is needed
- Be available to perform lateral service as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
Working Conditions:
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver multiple plates of food & carry bus tubs frequently weighing up to 25 pounds
- Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders and back is required
- Workplace is a fast paced environment with considerable movement throughout the shift; requires standing and walking 95% of the workday
- Team members must have a flexible work schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- A background in restaurant service is preferred
- Upon selection able to complete the Responsible Vendor course for all team members 18 years old and above
- A basic knowledge of food & beverage procedures and functions
- Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Positive Attitude
