Partner with the best

As an Intern, you are assisting in maintaining plant production. You are going to interpret and follow through on work orders following various safe work procedures. You will assists mechanical repairs on plant equipment and perform preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis. You learn to identify equipment malfunctions and repair before catastrophic failure. Begins to develop expertise in a specialized skill. Operates medium sized heavy equipment (e.g. Bobcat, manlift, forklift, trencher, etc.). Works outdoors year round in all types of weather conditions. Becomes aware of all safety hazards and follow all safety policies and procedures. Maintains department records.

  • General consultative supervision, toward predetermined goals and objectives
  • Interacts with peers, supervisor, and internal / external customer
  • May provide advice to lower level team members on medium to large projects
  • Consequences of errors are easily measured and can be confined
  • May work on special projects with peers from other work groups
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Sets up, monitors and operates various pieces of equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
  • May perform quality assurance activities as required by manufacturing/engineering specifications and ISO requirements

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Requires some personal initiative and occasional ingenuity, planning or organizing of work
  • Advanced office or technical skills, acquired through a combination of prior training and directly related experience
  • Sound decision making and problem solving skills
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude, including advanced experience with general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
  • Uses drilling experience plus product knowledge to maximize equipment performance
