Description

 

Contact Center Solution Consulting Principal

 

The Solution Consulting Principal role is to provide technology leadership for developing, integrating and supporting strategic direction to Kaiser Permanente IT (KPIT).  This role will be responsible for developing specific technology roadmaps for Contact Center Solutions, related network and communications infrastructure in partnership with Kaiser Permanente’s business capability owners, external vendors and managed services partners. 

The Solution Consulting Principal will:

Define Contact Center (and related domains) Technology Strategy for KPIT.

Define the long, medium and short term technology roadmaps.

Enable successful solution adoption through investment decisions, planning, implementation and transition for ongoing operational support

Identify and accelerate the elimination of retiring applications and infrastructure.

Through technology and services design, be responsible for improving the availability, security, compliance, interoperability, performance, and technology cost of assigned portfolios/platforms

Qualified candidates must possess a combination of business, technical and leadership skills.  They must be change advocates and innovators, quick learners, results-oriented, and creators of compelling technology roadmaps.  The Solution Consulting Principal must seek out and synthesize IT and healthcare trends into multi-year technology investment plans.  Mentoring and influencing others in a matrixed team environment is critical to success. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and guide implementation IT portfolios and platforms which accelerate the transformation of Technology Services as key enablers to Kaiser Permanente’s growth strategy and fulfillment of Kaiser Permanente’s mission.

Act as the Kaiser Permanente Information Technology champion with internal and external stakeholders regarding security, compliance, feature and product roadmaps, remediation, and service level agreements.

Lead Vendor and technology assessments to provide strategic recommendations for technology and services investment.

Lead focused proof-of-concept activities for technology assessments, communicate findings, develop portfolio roadmaps, investment prioritization, and successful implementation and adoption.

Be known as the subject matter expert for their portfolios/platforms and actively collaborate with other Solution Consulting Principals on IT standards, innovation and integration opportunities to enable new value chains and business efficiencies.

Act as the IT standards owner for several technology, platforms, or portfolio domains and facilitate a collaborative process to establish, gain consensus, and communicate, Invest, and Disinvest product roadmaps

Ensure that portfolio/platform and services design meets or exceeds operational metrics for scalability, security, compliance, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.

Ensure financial planning and controls for IT portfolio/platform decisions provide a return on investment, cost savings, performance improvement and clearly link to the defined business strategy.

Qualifications

 

15+ years of proven experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture and IT project/program delivery

Proven track record of leading enterprise and solution architecture delivery and adoption

Proven track record of leading business application and capability delivery

Proven track record in business engagement and business partner management

Excellent writing and oral communication skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with executives, business stakeholders and technical teams

Strong communication, inter-personnel, influence, collaboration and leadership skills

Strong strategic thinking and planning skills

Broad knowledge of architecture domains, including business, application, data, infrastructure and security architectures

Extensive experience in SOA and integration technologies and architecture patterns

Extensive experience in user facing application architectures, including web and mobile applications

Extensive experience in data architecture and design, including relational databases, analytics and possibly big data

Extensive experience with application middleware, including application servers, ESB, message queuing, ETL and secure file transfers

Good knowledge of infrastructure architecture design, including cloud-based infrastructure

Broad experience in technology evaluations and selections

At least 5 years of prior experience in application and/or database programming in multiple programming languages

Fluent knowledge of architecture modeling, including and beyond UML and BPMN, and related tools

Deep knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including agile methodologies

Master’s degree or equivalent experience

Proven track record of delivering results in a complex organization

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):

(The preferred qualifications will be used to further narrow the pool of candidates that meet all of the basic qualifications)

 

Experience in leading architecture work in a large healthcare organization

Extensive experience of working with care delivery business and knowledge of this business domain, including HL7, EMR, biomed devices, clinical imaging, lab, digital health, HIE, etc.

PhD degree in computer science or related discipline
