Description

 

Provides diagnostic evaluations and subsequent psychotherapy for outpatient services utilizing individual, family, marital and group modalities. Provides consultation, supervises the clinical work of unlicensed Mental Health Professionals as requested.

 

Essential Functions: • Evaluates and provides therapeutic interventions for child (under 12), adolescent (13-18) and adult patients requesting mental health services. Assessment performed with complete formulation, differential diagnosis, treatment and safety planning. Therapy will consist of evidenced based approaches for intervention and management strategies, including family therapy. • Communicates effectively with parents, collateral contacts, outside agencies, referring agencies, and/or outside providers regarding treatment plans; may include preparation of clinical reports and/or consultations. • Maintains appropriate and timely documentation of clinical services and related clinical contacts. • Provides urgent intervention services; determines appropriateness of hospitalization in conjunction with the clinic crisis team and psychiatrist, if appropriate; assesses the patient's potential for lethality. • Consults with appropriate medical providers regarding the patient's symptom presentation, treatment plan, response to interventions and treatment recommendations. • Performs clinical, compliance, and administrative duties related to Medicare billing.

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

Experience • Minimum of two (2) years of post master's practice experience under appropriate supervision in applied psychotherapy with a minimum of one (1) year practicing with a majority pediatric population (0-18 years) and of one (1) year practicing with a majority adult population. OR Minimum of one (1) year of post-doctoral practice experience (formal fellowship or otherwise) under appropriate supervision in applied psychotherapy with a majority pediatric population (0-18 years), but also including practice experience with an adult population.

Education • Master's degree.

License, Certification, Registration • Colorado licensure as a LPC or LMFT or LCSW or Licensed Psychologist in the State of Colorado. • National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire.  

Additional Requirements: • Work experience must be recent, within the last 5 years.  

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with documentation utilizing an electronic medical record. • Specific training in Autism Spectrum Disorder interventions. • LCSW, PsyD, PhD preferred. • Emphasis/specialization in child, adolescent and family dynamics including knowledge of emotional, cognitive and social development.

Intensive outpatient therapist service for adolescent and adults. Knowledge of DBT preferred.
