We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help us achieve our goals for our business and the planet.

We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about changing the way millions of people save energy. You’ll work within the Engineering Department to build and improve our applications to deliver flexible and creative solutions to our utility partners and end users. You’ll be a part of developing robust architecture and leading large feature initiatives that deliver a compelling experience for our customers in the area of Demand Response and Energy Orchestration.

What you bring to Uplight:

  • 4-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python.
  • Experience implementing scalable microservice architecture.
  • Experience building and managing APIs to industry-accepted RESTful standards.
  • 3+ years building maintainable integration and unit tests.
  • Knowledge of Javascript and modern front-end libraries and frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate via pair programming, peer review, brainstorming, etc.
  • Experience mentoring peers, both technically and non-technically.
  • Experience facilitating collaboration cross-functionally with Design and Product teams/

Salary Range: $125,000 to $145,000 

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be evaluated based on a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity.
