The Treasury Analyst within Optus is a Finance professional working in the Treasury Department, and you will report to the Senior Director, Treasury with your primary duties including assisting with running the short-medium term cashflow and funding requirements of Optus to ensure it has sufficient liquidity daily.

Furthermore, you need to be able to operate within Group Treasury Policies and dealing limits. You will also be managing the vendor finance facility, which involves leading numerous internal collaborators along with external vendors.

You will assist in preparing the interest expense annual budget and 3-year plan which forms part of the Funding plan for Optus which requires you to deal with various business units on an annual and quarterly basis.

Your skills and background

  • Tertiary qualified in a financial discipline, with 2-3 years finance related role;
  • Sophisticated financial modelling skills (Excel, Power BI etc.) in a similar analyst function in fast-paced corporate setting;
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills, plus a proven track record managing changing situations;
  • Ability in working collaboratively developing solutions, with a strong eye for detail and highly developed interpersonal skills; & 
  • Ability to multitask and engage in a “hands on manner”.
