Job Description
- Work closely with mechanical and software team to ensure design solutions able to meet the product specifications.
- Ensure design solutions meet DFM (Design for Manufacturing) requirements.
- Design / assist in designing schematic and printed circuit board layout.
- Involve in evaluation and costing of electronics components.
- Plan, coordinate and test hardware prototypes.
- Responsible for bill of materials (BOM) creation for electronics parts.
- Develop product test plan together with design team and quality engineers.
- Guide test engineers / participate in new product testing and validation.
- Provide status reporting of the tasks according to project plan.
- Assist / responsible for documents such as schematic, design notes, FMEA, technical review and part approval.
- Assist with production issues (i.e. failure analysis) for new and current products.
- Assist / support quality engineers in field return analysis, quality and reliability improvement for launched product.
Qualifications
- Degree/Master in electrical / electronics engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in electronics design of embedded system, Battery Management, Analogue, Digital and Signal Conditioning are preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of PCB CAD software (e.g. CadSoft EAGLE, Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, CADSTAR and OrCAD PCB Designer) would be an added advantage.
- Experience in simulation tools to support design calculations and documentation.
- Enjoyed problems solving and technical challenges.
- Result oriented and with effective communication skills .
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
