You as R&D Embedded Software engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business-based Bangalore, you will be responsible for our growing R&D team, part of our global organization, you need a solid technical interest and great skills and you thrive when collaborating with your colleagues and take great responsibility for your work.
Your responsibilities
- Manages assigned internal and external resources for R&D activities, assigns tasks to team members, and supervises workload and work allocation within the project team. Ensures appropriate competencies are developed and acquired within the team to support development of future products and systems.
- Ensures talent acquisition (hiring) and management of the individuals in the team, giving feedback on performance, coaching, providing development and career opportunities
- Guide our software development teams to creating sustainable, flexible, secure, and scalable high-quality software products. Plans capacity, people, budget and resources for R&D projects and ensures an optimal project setup for the team.
- Oversees efficient, timely and quality project execution using the most appropriate internal and external resources and partners (e.g. vendors)
- Recommends, develops, and improves processes and procedures to enhance local operations.
- Applies appropriate development and quality standards and monitors local product quality and change requests to identify issues
- Drives and fosters a culture of innovation within the team.
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering in Computer Science / Information technology / Electronics and communication or equivalent.
- 3-7 years of overall experience in Software development domain
- Good skills in C/C++ are must
- Knowledge of any Real time operating system(RTOS) is must
- Knowledge of Board support package (BSP) is nice to have
- Knowledge of industrial protocols IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870 – 5 -103/104 is nice to have
- Having worked in SCRUM / Agile is nice to have
- Knowledge of Protection and Control IEDs is nice to have
- Proficiency in English, speaking and writing
