As our new R&D Epoxy Processing Expert and Project Leader, you will join our Technology Center in Zürich-Altstetten, an organization leading continuous research and development activities on dry bushings. As part of our global R&D community including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide, you will contribute to improve the performance of epoxy systems in the various factories belonging to the Transformers Business Line. You will focus on developing optimized epoxy systems and processes and drive innovation from a material point of view. As a member of the highly skilled Technology Center team, you will run projects and contribute to the roadmap execution in a professional way. Your responsibilities

  • Develop new technologies and products in the area of high voltage components and more specifically in dry HV bushings
  • Lead product and process development projects self-driven on time, on budget, and on quality
  • Analyze the existing epoxy formulations and provide fundamental knowledge about chemical systems and their use
  • Transfer your knowledge and findings from lab scale to production environment both locally and in other facilities abroad
  • Assess production processes and proactively identify gaps and areas of improvement
  • Support factory troubleshooting in domain of expertise
  • Maintain close collaboration with suppliers to ensure raw material quality and perfect fit to the needs of R&D and the factories, supporting qualification of new suppliers and maintaining existing basis
  • Be aware of HSE aspects and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations

Your background

  • Minimum Master level education in polymer engineering, chemical engeneering or similar
  • Strong background and hands on working experience in epoxy resin and processing, including lab scale up to prototyping, ideally in a factory environment
  • Deep knowledge about reaction kinetics as well as casting and curing processes of composite materials and epoxy systems
  • Practical knowledge of the full material characterization methods (thermal, mechanical, processing)
  • Solid track record as project leader
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office, statistical and simulation tools
  • Responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven, and result-oriented work approach
  • Spirit of innovation, "out of the box" thinking
  • More than 5 years of working, experience in large organization is considered a plus
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
