Your responsibilities
- Apply L6S methodology in product & process quality and demonstrate their value to the organization
- Planning and performing audit / assessment and follow up of Root Cause Analyze (8D etc.) or any improvement activities process standardization, waste elimination etc.
- Close cooperating with other functions in Hitachi ABB Power Grids (Production, SCM, R&D, Engineering etc.)
- Proactively measuring and analyzing data from production and field operation to early/pro-actively identify product quality issues, perform / lead process FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis)
- Improving product quality within as well as in collaboration with internal and external suppliers by supporting or leading issue resolution projects to rectify nonconformities (quality case management)
- Perform / assist with troubleshooting tasks for quality issues
- Ensure reporting of Q issues in SAP and CCRPs
- Support improvements of product development projects and processes (with respect to quality aspects)
- Supporting operational organization in root cause analyses of customer complaints & non-conformances to reduce and eliminate repeating issues
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience working in engineering, manufacturing, and/or quality
- Good interpersonal skills, dynamic team player, structural thinking, and professional approach towards suppliers
- Experience with use of preventive quality management, problem solving and reporting techniques (FMEA, L6S, SPC, 8D) - L6S Green Belt or more
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (French nice to have)
- ISO 9001 Quality Management system knowledge
- Effective usage of MS Office Programs and basic knowledge in SAP
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
- Experience working with Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement practices (e.g. Kaizen, DMAIC, Gemba, Root-Cause Analysis [RCA]; etc.)
