The Controlling & Planning Front Office team works closely with the business units and country organizations to drive controlling & planning standardization. We are looking for a self-driven individual with a strong accounting background and process improvement approach. Your responsibilities
- As a Controlling & Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Controlling & planning business analytical services to the corporate business functions, based on customer requirements.
- Automated tools/reports design, implementation and maintenance. Semiautomated and manual analytical services, and one-off (ad-hoc) analytical output.
- Perform analysis of business function performance versus budget and forecast and benchmarking of key performance indicators with external and internal peers
- Work with the other financial professionals in Functions / Regions / Countries / Business Units to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance and identify trends.
- Prepare various financial analysis (e.g. country cash flow analyses, demand order analyses, etc.)
- Support preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Validate accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliation and review of exceptions.
- Direct and lead the CoE and CSS Hub finance resources that support the country corporate functions to achieve objectives.
- Information and communication:
- Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, presentation of findings and analysis.
- Support the full deployment and implementation of new cloud-based tools to improve current analytical tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Support the annual budget and monthly forecast process for the country.
- Optimization:
- Optimize performance to increase productivity, recommend changes of process standards and procedures, identify areas for process / report standardization.
- Internal control and documentation:
- Ensure processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and unit requirements.
- Maintain proper audit trail and documentation, ensure SOPs are prepared and updated, ensure service delivery of the team is within the agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Business Excellence
- Commit to customer focus and customer satisfaction to ensure business partners are provided the service levels agreed.
- Group Initiatives
- Support and participate in safety, compliance, business ethics and other related activities.
- Ensure alignment of Controlling & Planning processes to HQ solutions and best practices.
- Actively work towards the goal of harmonized and standardized processes throughout the country and region.
- Support the implementation of SAP S4/HANA as it affects corporate functions.
Your background
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Controlling and/or FP&A
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance and Accounting or Business Administration, Accounting designation an asset.
- Understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows across organization at business and finance-side and proficiency in IT systems: ERP, Planning & Reporting tools and integrated solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to successfully interact with process stakeholders at various levels and cultures, remotely and face to face.
- Good problem solving, analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives; focus on details, structured.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required, French an asset)
- Systems experience - SAP, Business Objects, Power BI, or other cloud-based tools, Microsoft office suite.
