Connectivity Solution Architect for Enterprise networks is responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of Connectivity solutions and of associated Connectivity services delivered to Business, Support Functions and IS Technology domains as the case may be and ensure Connectivity Solutions Architecture is in line with Hitachi Energy Enterprise Architecture standards. Responsible that the Connectivity solutions and services provide the required functionality and meet the cost expectations of business. Collaboration with other IT Infrastructure product groups and within Connectivity department. Possible locations for this role are: Poland, Lithuania, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland. This role reports to the IT Manager Connectivity.
Your responsibilities
- Defines the technical IS solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications/ systems through cooperation and collaboration across IS solution architects and IS delivery units.
- Engages in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities, for which functionalities enhancements are needed and for which functionalities workarounds are accepted.
- Supports validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Product Owner and/or Enterprise Architect.
- Review and sign off the functional and technical use case specifications.
- Keeps knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IS technology and IS industry practices (specifically in Networking area), bringing learning into Hitachi Energy; all within in the scope of the relevant IS solutions.
- Collaborates with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible and most cost-efficient Connectivity solutions and services for the business.
- Consults, gives advice and supports the development of new connectivity solutions and services, or the changing/ transformation of existing Connectivity solutions and services.
- Consults the users to identify and learn about current procedures and to clarify further requirements. Supports the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of all IS processes related to the area of responsibility.
- Communicates project delivery related decision demand towards project and service management in collaboration with Enterprise Architect to ensure resolution and avoid delivery issues.
- Commits and contributes to common result-oriented collaboration with the various business processes IS architectural domains as well as the various enterprise technology IS architecture domains.
- Contributes to IS Problem and IS Incident Management to fight ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating these.
- Proactively supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.
- Collaboration with the Enterprise Architects to ensure that IS solutions and services related standards are considered accordingly.
- Collaboration with the Information Security to ensure that IS solutions and services related standards are compliant accordingly.
Your background
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering/ information technology or equivalent
- Minimum of 10+ years of overall hands-on experience in Cisco Networking.
- Proven track record of technical background in Network design, development, and implementation, incl. Cisco SDWAN and DNA Center specific knowledge and hands-on experience
- Industry recognizable certificates in Network technologies is a must
- Ability to consult service line management with technical advice
- Ability to collaborate, partner with external vendors and global service providers to manage solution design and delivery
- Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively across all organizational levels
- Ability to direct and to drive an external/vendor team of experts
- Deep analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic environment
- Forward looking with a holistic approach
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.Strong command of English, including excellent writing and presentation skills.
