About the Role

We are looking for an engineer to contribute to and maintain our maps infrastructure. Our product suite uses maps to solve our customers' needs in a multitude of applications: calculating localized information, querying data across global-sized maps, as well as visualization and inspection of maps. This role will have the opportunity to build the future of our maps, by collaborating with engineers as well as customers. 

At Applied you will:

• Own our map infrastructure across all our products
• Update our map storage format to handle more features and more data
• Collaborate with engineers and customers on existing and future designs

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience building software components or (sub) systems that address real-world mapping and localization challenges
• C++ and/or Python programming expertise

Nice to have:

• MSc or PhD in mapping, localization, or closely related field
• Has experience working in either autonomous vehicles or simulation products
