JOB OVERVIEW

Hydrow is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to work closely with your teammates on the Hardware, Quality and Production team to support multiple initiatives varying in complexity and urgency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work closely with your teammates on the Hardware, Quality and Production team to support multiple initiatives varying in complexity and urgency.
  • Bridge the gap between firmware and electrical expertise, taking on projects in each discipline.
  • Hands-on development of new products, and support of those in production and in the field.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years experience in hardware product development, ideally in consumer goods, fitness, medical or automotive fields.
  • Technical aptitude with familiarity in repair and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems using typical test and rework equipment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage complex projects and processes with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously in a fast paced startup environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience authoring and maintaining technical documentation. 
  • Willingness to jump in and help out where needed, even in areas that are outside of your job description
  • Experience developing bare metal firmware, test, and analysis programs with C/C++ and Python
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software
