Internship Duration: College/University course semester dates
Boardriders, Inc. offers internships in various departments and provides college students with supervised practical experience in the workplace. You can intern in departments suchas Merchandising & Design, Retail Buying, Marketing, Public Relations, Operations and Human Resources to name a few.
To be considered for the Internship Program you MUST:
(Please note: Students are eligible to intern during their course dates. Students may not begin before course date or continue past course date unless authorization letter is provided)
WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
As a Footwear Design intern you will gain experience in the application of color, graphics, and materials across several product types with a focus on footwear. You will learn to build out themes, core/seasonal color palettes, and supply material/graphic direction for an assigned product category. Interns will gain experience in analyzing the target consumer, researching key market trends, creating products and telling stories that are meaningful to our consumer and authentic to the DC Shoes brand.
WHAT SKILLS, MAJOR OR EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Footwear, Fashion or Graphic Design majors
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of textiles, materials and trims related to footwear.
Strong taste level in color/print application.
