The Opportunity

Qurate Retail Group is looking for candidate that is passionate about the customer for an internship opportunity with the QVC and HSN Customer Experience team. This is a unique opportunity to gain supply chain experience at a growing retail and ecommerce company. The Performance Improvement Analyst intern will support the supply chain team, helping to improve supply chain performance while working on key priorities for the business. The intern will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from multiple parts of the organization to deliver best-in-class moments.

Successful interns will receive experience in data analysis, dynamic reporting, inventory and resource planning, critical decision making, and business process improvement.

Your Impact

  • Provide data analytics support to the Supply Chain (SC) team through various project updates and administrative duties.
  • Learn hands-on to cleanse, SQL query, and blend large sets of data sources for real-time global SC reporting.
  • Develop and support upkeep of interactive data visualizations in Tableau for cross-functional teams and SC stakeholders.
  • Investigate and interpret real-time SC data to offer insights and trend analysis.
  • Utilize reporting and analytics tools to understand and evaluate how supply chain performance impacts the overall business. 
  • Assist the SC teams in the analysis of key performance indicators which drive improvements in the business and global vendor performance.
  • Build stakeholder relationships within other Qurate brands and departments such as Inbound Logistics, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Vendor Compliance, PSFGA, Drop Ship, etc. to drive improvements.
  • Recommend improvements to the processes and learn how six sigma approaches can be applied to drive efficiency. 
  • Plan, facilitate or participate in team meetings providing project and initiative status updates.
  • Monitor and escalate trends & emerging issues to the leadership team. 
  • Research and perform internal and external benchmarking to understand best practices and trends. 
  • Learn the SC process across QVC and HSN to protect the brand and retain customers.
  • Advance SC department goals. 


What You Bring

  • Must be a rising junior, senior, or graduate student
  • Currently pursuing a degree in, or has a BS in, of one of the following majors or similar:
  • Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Procurement
  • Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel)
