WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As a member of the Finance team, this position will be an important business partner to various teams across the company, including the leadership team. As our first dedicated FP&A hire, this role will be critical in establishing Qualia’s budgeting process, improving our operating model, and providing insights to the leadership team to make informed decisions. This role provides the opportunity to build an FP&A function in a rapidly growing company. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and lead our budgeting process, including the design and implementation of potential technology tools and process automation options
  • Maintain and improve our operating model while enhancing performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies across key operational areas
  • Analyze current and past trends in key financial indicators
  • Provide leadership, collaboration, and input into the development and usage of internal dashboards that help Qualia’s leadership team monitor important KPIs, business drivers, and trends
  • Track and report actual variances against budget and provide explanations 
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to prepare financial reporting packages
  • Lead P&L-level cadences to provide relevant guidance and insights that enable our teams to monitor current progress and inform future decision-making

WHAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance related role in technology, investment banking, consulting, or real estate
  • 3+ years experience on a formal FP&A team, supporting a high-growth organization
  • You have deep Excel expertise and enjoy solving complex problems
  • Ability to partner with leaders from different functions across the organization
  • You are metrics-driven in your decision-making, always striving to improve existing processes, and are naturally curious
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Exposure to forecasting systems preferable
  • Experience working with SaaS companies
