Overview of the role

Responsible for non-U.S. multi-jurisdictional tax matter. Continually monitors and researches changing tax laws from a global perspective. Responsible for specific non-US related issues, including transfer pricing, Pan Asia tax, foreign tax credit utilization, entity restructuring, and intercompany debt analysis. Conducts high-level, holistic tax analysis to determine financial tax implications of the business, identifies options, and recommends course of action to SVP of Tax and other members of Senior Management. Assists with development of global tax strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws. 

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Plan and oversees work activities to ensure that all functions are performed on a timely basis and meet quality standards.
  • Be responsible for the coordination and review of global income tax return preparation, including external outsourcing arrangements.
  • Be responsible for consolidated non-U.S. income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 on a quarterly and annual basis. 
  • Coordinate of audits in foreign jurisdictions.
  • Assist with preparation of in-house training materials to ensure accuracy and clear understanding of information.
  • Develop, implements, and maintains systems, procedures and internal work standards in an effort to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and maintains global transfer pricing. 
  • Manage cross-border financing and intercompany arrangements
  • Understands permanent establishment risks and creates and monitors appropriate secondment agreements.
  • Works with Corporate Treasurer to manage cash deployment and repatriation strategies.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years public accounting and/or related industry experience required
  • Working in international tax and tax reporting.
  • Comprehensive Accounting knowledge.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly analytical.
  • Ability to understand and use various tax materials, forms and instructions.
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize complex procedures without guidance.
  • Advanced Excel and Word knowledge. 
  • FX knowledge.
  • Displays proactive, critical thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent research and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and SAP
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
