Job Description:

Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) Mission Systems and Sensors (MSS) Business Area is seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in joining the Program Planning & Scheduling Department in a position as a Sr. Program Planner I. The candidate will work and partner with various functions, including the Program Management Office, Finance, Engineering and Contracts to ensure that the MSS programs are performed according to contractual parameters established by government customers.

Responsibilities will include development, maintenance and analysis of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project as well as the program Master Phasing Schedule (top level schedule). This role will also support Earned Value reporting from the IMS, ensuring Earned Value Management (EVM) compliance of planning-related artifacts, IMS CDRL deliveries to the customer and internal IMS reporting to the PMO. The Planner in this role will also support planning, scheduling and cost estimating activities as needed by the PMO.

This position will be located in Woburn, MA.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling and/or Project Controls and/or Business Analyst
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project and/or other Scheduling tools, such as Oracle Primavera.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
• Demonstrated experience using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar business processes for tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance.
• Demonstrated experience working on US Department of Defense (DoD) contracts

Desired Skills:

• 6+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling.
• Demonstrated experience performing Critical Path analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs)
• Familiarity with any of the following: SAP database reporting (specifically the Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) tool), Material Resource Planning (MRP) tools used in factory production and operations settings.
• Experience assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks.
• Experience in use of MS Project Server and Visual Basic.
• Six Sigma qualifications and/or training and experience.
• PMP Certification.

Required Education (including Major):

• BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field of study.
