Job Description:

Raytheon's Missiles and Defense is seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in joining the Program Planning & Scheduling Department in a position as a Sr. Program Planner II. The candidate will work and partner with various functions, including the Program Management Office, Finance, Engineering and Contracts to ensure that the program is performed according to contractual parameters established by government customers.

Responsibilities will include development, maintenance and analysis of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project as well as the program Master Phasing Schedule (top level schedule). This role will also support Earned Value reporting from the IMS, ensuring Earned Value Management (EVM) compliance of planning-related artifacts, IMS CDRL deliveries to the customer and internal IMS reporting to the PMO. The Planner in this role will also support planning, scheduling and cost estimating activities as needed by the PMO.

This position will be located in Woburn, MA.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling and/or experience in Program or Earned Value Management.
  • Microsoft Project and/or other Scheduling tools, such as Oracle Primavera.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar business processes for tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance.
  • Experience with government and/or DoD and FMS contracts and programs.
  • This position will require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling.
  • Performing Critical Path analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs)
  • Familiarity with any of the following: SAP database reporting (specifically the Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) tool), Material Resource Planning (MRP) tools used in factory production and operations settings.
  • Experience assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks.
  • Knowledge of Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Six Sigma qualifications and/or training and experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Primavera project management tools.

Required Education (including Major):

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field of study.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
