MTM Transit is growing! We are hiring a Road Supervisor (afternoon/evening position) to learn our company and culture, located in Martin County, FL. 

The Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all fleet operations meet company standards and are in compliance with all governmental and/or regulatory standards. Ensure efficient mechanical operation and appearance of each vehicle is maintained. The Road Supervisor will assist in monitoring all accident and injury investigations and monitor comments and complaints of passengers regarding service, especially feedback regarding the safety of passengers. The Road Supervisor will ensure all daily routes are supplied with drivers and will develop utilization reports to establish cost effective routes and schedules to meet the needs of the Customer and Client.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors street operations for on time performance and schedule and route adherence
  • Assist operators with service or passenger problems
  • Assists with driver shift changes and transfers
  • Responds to accidents and incidents by collecting all required information
  • Accompany operators to medical facilities as required after an accident or injury
  • Provide feedback to Safety Coordinator on issues that affect safety and performance
  • Ensure 2nd shift drivers are fit for duty and meet uniform requirements
  • Assists in the processing on-road monitoring and prepares monitoring reports, makes recommendations for re-training
  • Acts as manager on duty in absence of the Operations and Safety Manager
  • Coordinates next day driver shifts when callouts occur
  • May act as relief driver when necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • H.S. diploma or G.E.D, required
  • College degree, preferred
  • Must have at least (5) years current driving experience as fixed route driver
  • Must be able to work every evening until all buses have finished their final runs each evening
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess a CDL class B with Air-brake Testing and with Passenger (P) Endorsement
  • Will be required to drive a company or rental vehicle (failure to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background screen may result in termination of employment)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Competency Based Qualifications:

  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of MTM Transit operations, company policies, and guidelines
  • Ability to schedule, organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills
  • Exceptional interpretation and problem solving skills
