Position Summary
Lead and manage all aspects of finance related to Krogers Digital business, which is critical for the future of Krogers business. Oversee the consolidated reporting and management of various Digital lines of business. Provide detailed analytics and strategic insights to the chief digital officer (CDO) as well as other executives of the company. Supervise two financial analysts and work with various groups and departments across the enterprise to drive financial success. Help project overall vision and strategy for Digital. Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions
Lead and facilitate strategic discussions with leaders of various lines of business (Level 12)
Participate as active member of Digital executive leadership team (Level 12)
Travel to regional accounting centers for meetings, training, and to observe and review e-commerce related business processes
Serve as a mentor to financial analysts as well as others in the Corporate Accounting department
Review and approve work of financial analysts being compiled and published
Work closely with corporate controller, assistant corporate controller and director of Reporting & Analytics on reporting, dashboard, and business plan related items
Provide detailed insights and analytics to the CDO as well as other executives on various Digital related initiatives and opportunities
Work closely with director of Capital Management to manage capital projects and all re-analysis work
Manage analytics related to various merger and acquisitions activity including business modeling
Participate in strategic sessions focused on vision of Digital integration with divisions and driving overall results across the company
Lead executive level financial reviews and presentations
Work with Accounting centers and Corporate Accounting to ensure accounting for new lines of business are being set up and documented accordingly in regard to general accounting policies and Kroger accounting policies
Work across all Digital lines of business to ensure all accounting policies are being followed
Track and report on capital spending vs. allocations as well as overall impacts of such spending on bottom line results
Own, manage, and effectively communicate goals, forecasts, and budgets for all Digital lines of business
Own, manage, and report financial results
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Minimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance
5+ years of accounting/finance experience (Level 11)
7+ years of accounting/finance experience (Level 12)
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
Ability to lead projects and work with contacts outside the department and company
Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Previous Experience/Education
CPA certification.
Any experience in an accounting position at a regional Accounting Center, division, or corporate office accounting position
Master's Degree in business administration
