The Role:
Live Nation is the largest producer of live music concerts in the world. We are offering unpaid internships to hard-working, responsible individuals. This internship is designed to offer students hands-on learning experience in marketing and promotion within the concert and entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist show marketers with brainstorming creative promotions for upcoming events and compiling summaries of marketing efforts for individual shows
- Research upcoming area shows and events at which to include marketing presence based on similar audiences
- Research grassroots marketing opportunities and reach out to coordinate promotions
- Monitor press activity for upcoming shows and brainstorming PR strategy to maximize exposure for artists
- Reviewing, printing and filing invoices to back up marketing summaries
- Update weekly ticket count grids
- Occasional on-site coverage at shows and events
- Create a marketing and promotional plan for an upcoming US Concerts show as culminating semester project
Qualifications:
- Interns must be willing to commit to at least 20 hours/week
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university prior to starting assignment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs is a plus
- Must be personable and a team player
- Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
- The ability to conduct yourself in a professional matter at all times
