EventBoard (Teem)

The Client Engineering Team builds applications, APIs, and design systems that empower our members – and developers – to make the most of the spaces where they live, work, and play. These interfaces help members navigate, visualize, and access space on a global scale. We call this digital infrastructure for the physical world.

As a backend engineer on our client team, you will be building services that power We Company applications. Our backend engineers aggregate various sources of truth for purpose-built, easy to use APIs.

You may be a fit for this role if you:

• Enjoy building developer-friendly APIs
• Put the customer first – you are motivated more by the value you bring to end users than the technology itself
• Love working with many different stakeholders across design, engineering, product, and security
• Take testing and observability seriously. You've run apps in production and understand the value of good tests, monitoring, and error tracking
• Thrive in a collaborative, empathetic environment. You understand the patience, communication, and teamwork that it takes to deliver challenging projects
• Have a strong CS background

Here are a few projects you could work on with us!

• A GraphQL service that ties together multiple GRPC sources of truth for space, identity, and physical access control
• An access control API that lets developers grant access to WeWork spaces in a few lines of code
• A mobile credential management service that integrates with multiple hardware providers, giving WeWork members the ability to enter buildings and rooms with just a mobile phone
• Backend GIS data pipelines merging WeWork's physical space model, analytics layers and the map of the world
