Job Summary

Responsible for the design, development, and management of the autologous therapies product portfolio, associated instruments, and allograft bone products to support the Orthobiologics and Restorative Therapies business segments. Work is expected to encompass both the development of new products and maintenance of existing products. Position will lead medium scope projects, multiple small projects or large portions of a large project as a core team member.
Supports development of new products and strategic distribution partnerships. Identifies all tasks required to complete project assignments according to Design Control procedures. Generate prototype models to evaluate new design concepts both internally and with external healthcare providers. Works directly with outside contract manufacturers and vendors to develop new products and support maintenance of existing product lines. Conducts or participates in root cause analysis for problem solving. Contributes to generation of technical protocols and report writing for testing/analyzing the product. Generates or updates design assurance documentation for the product. Minimum B.S. degree from an ABET accredited school (or global equivalent) in one of the following engineering disciplines, 1-5 years of experience: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Bioengineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering. Medical device experience preferred.
