Bindery Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
- Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10:00pm
- $17.50 per hour starting wage
- Long term/permanent opportunity with growth/wage increase potential!
The Bindery Machine Operator is responsible for operating a variety of specialized bindery machines to transform the printed material coming from the Press Department into a finished product.
Job Duties Include:
- Read work orders to determine instructions & specifications for machine set-up
- Set-up & operation of bindery machines:
- Maintain, adjust, & set up equipment
- Fold stock on any folder
- Set up & cut material according to specifications
- Perforate or score materials
- Follow safety precautions
- Maintain awareness of machine's operation to avoid product waste and/or machine break down
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of production processes & quality controls
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, & twist in one place for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate (or learn to operate) forklift, power dollies, hand dollies, & paper cutters
- Lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout shift
