Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
Mon-Thurs 3pm-1am
$18-$28 (based on experience)
(The first 90 days of training may require a split shift)
Job Duties:
- Operate CNC machinery and related shop equipment, making adjustments as needed
- Load programs, tools, and materials into machines
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine part dimensions and specifications
- Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines
- Start, monitor, and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions and make corrections
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify conformance to specifications
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts using overhead cranes or other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform heavy lifting and remain in constant motion throughout the shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of machining experience (CNC and/or manual)
- Experience with manual lathes, drill presses, and saws a plus
- Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
- General mechanical aptitude
- Manual machinist experience preferred
MUST have experience with calipers & micrometers
