Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer with strong Python development skills and hands-on experience building and supporting ETL pipelines. This role focuses on developing production-grade data solutions, working across systems to ensure reliable data processing, and collaborating directly with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable implementations.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

• Design and develop Python-based data applications and services for production environments
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading across systems
• Analyze, troubleshoot and optimize data processing workflows to improve performance and reliability
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms
• Develop and manage complex SQL queries and data transformations
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement data solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipelines and batch processes
• Contribute to solution design discussions and recommend improvements to data architecture

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering and data engineering roles
• Strong hands-on Python development experience (data-focused applications)
• Proven experience designing and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines
• Solid SQL skills, including complex queries and performance optimization
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and data quality validation
• Experience troubleshooting data issues across multiple systems and environments
• Ability to work independently and deliver solutions with minimal supervision

Set Yourself Apart With

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory)
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter or SSIS
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and enterprise data architecture
• Experience working with large-scale or distributed data systems
• Exposure to CI/CD, version control, and data pipeline automation practices
• Familiarity with production support processes, monitoring, and scheduling
