Responsibilities

As a Software Expert / Architect, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in defining and delivering next gen AWG Software applications. You will be responsible for designing & development of complex Software for AWG products which would require breadth of knowledge from Low Level Software (HW integration), up to GUI/Application Software. You will work closely with R&D Project Manager, Product Planners, Solution Teams, and Customers. You will translate customer requirements into technical product architecture, ensuring innovative, reliable, and industry-leading solutions. Responsibilities

  • Partner with planners, product architects, and customers to define product requirements and transform them into robust software architecture.
  • Architect and design M8110A system software for AWG platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end software stack, from hardware integration and measurement algorithms to GUI (WPF) and advanced visualization.
  • Ensure solutions deliver measurement accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
  • Collaborate across global R&D teams (Europe, US, Asia) for development and integration.
  • Mentor advanced engineers and provide technical leadership.
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and architectures for innovation.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of R&D experience in software product development.
  • Strong expertise in C#, C++, and WPF for professional applications.
  • Experience in measurement software and application development.
  • Proven experience in defining and architecting products based on customer and planner input.
  • Awareness of measurement science, data analysis, and automation.
  • Advanced understanding of software design principles, OOP, and architecture patterns.
  • Strong grasp of multithreading, performance tuning, and real-time data handling.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent team-player, responsive and accountable
  • Self-starter. Willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies

Preferred:

  • Direct experience with AWG, oscilloscopes or other T&M instruments.
  • Familiarity with power electronics, analog/digital circuits, or signal processing.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, Git, Jira, Confluence.
  • Test-driven development (TDD) experience.
  • Leverage AI/ML techniques to enhance measurement analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive features.
  • Awareness on Secured Software Development Methodologies, Practices and Framework (NIST).
  • Solid knowledge of electrical measurements and waveform analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps and build activities.
  • Prior experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
