About The Team

Factory Software is responsible for managing the applications that run our production, logistics, maintenance, and safety systems. Machine Learning Engineers cut across all these domains to optimize our ability to build the best products efficiently. A Machine Learning Engineer will train custom computer vision models to detect quality defects before a vehicle leaves the factory or to guide a robot to automate production. They utilize natural language processing to do question answering and systematically identify the types of issues encountered by customers. Statistics and optimization techniques are used to reduce costs of packaging and optimize factory layouts and process designs. The best engineers deeply understand the needs of the operation teams and solve problems at the source using the techniques most applicable to each case. Machine learning engineers can develop novel algorithms, build and clean datasets, train models, integrate models into the codebase, and perform continuous automated monitoring to ensure long-term success.
